AUCTOR is an owner-operated residential construction and development company working across the Greater Seattle–Tacoma area. We take on property improvements, ADUs, substantial renovations, new homes and residential redevelopment.
Our perspective comes from both sides of the work — building for clients and investing in property ourselves — so decisions are weighed against design, durability, permitting, budget, schedule and long-term usefulness.
The name
Auctor: the one who builds it and stands behind it.
The name carries an older sense of responsibility — the person who originates a work and remains answerable for it. It shows up in how we plan, how we communicate and what we are willing to put our name on.
Owners
Directly involved from the first conversation.
AUCTOR is owner-operated by Thaddaeus Copling and Peter Prins. The company grew out of a shared interest in construction, real estate and the potential hidden in overlooked properties. Clients and partners work directly with the people evaluating, planning and delivering the project.
